Match the format to the destination
Consider whether the final piece is a feed post, story, presentation or printed page. Look for a layout with space for your actual content. A short announcement and a detailed service overview need different structures.
Replace the content before polishing
Prepare your own headline, body copy, call to action and imagery. Keep the most important message prominent. If the words no longer fit comfortably, shorten the copy or choose a more suitable composition.
Make the visual language consistent
Use the same approved logo, type styles and palette across related designs. Check that decorative elements support your brand. A template is a starting point; the goal is a piece that feels unmistakably yours.
Check the final size
Review the design at the size someone will actually see it. Make sure small text is readable and important details do not sit against the edge. For a set of designs, compare them together as well as individually.
