Vector editing

Draw anything.

Sketch an idea, then refine it with the pen, shapes and every anchor point. Everything you draw stays a crisp vector on its own layer, ready to recolor, reshape or tuck behind your type.

A live recreation of the Studio. The pen draws a shape between the photo and the title, then it takes a color from the palette and is scaled down.

A full vector toolkit.

Pen

Click for corners, drag for smooth curves and click the first point to close the shape. Hold Shift to keep lines at 45° steps.

Every anchor point

Double-click any path or shape to edit it point by point. Move anchors, pull handles and add points along a curve.

Shapes

Rectangles, ellipses, lines, polygons and stars, each with fills, strokes and rounded corners you can change at any time.

Pencil and brushes

Draw freehand with twenty brushes, from Fineliner and Gouache to Charcoal and Airbrush, smoothed as you go.

Combine shapes

Union, subtract, intersect or exclude to build new forms from simple ones, then keep editing the result.

Type to outlines

Turn a headline into vector outlines, one path per letter, and reshape a single character.

How it works.

01

Sketch it.

Pick the pen, pencil or a shape and draw right on your design. Smart guides line it up with everything around it.

02

Refine it.

Double-click to edit anchors and curves, simplify a busy path or combine shapes into a new one.

03

Style it.

Pick a fill from your brand colors, add strokes and effects, and move it above or behind any layer.

Frequently asked questions.

Is what I draw a real vector?

Yes. Paths and shapes stay sharp at any size, and you can export them as editable SVG.

Can I bring in my own SVG files?

Yes. Paste SVG markup or drop an .svg file onto the canvas and it arrives as editable paths, with its fills and strokes intact.

Can I draw behind text or a cutout?

Every shape is its own layer. Drag it in the Layers panel to place it above or below any photo, headline or cutout.

What happens to a shaky freehand stroke?

It is smoothed as you draw, and Simplify Path reduces any path to the fewest points that keep its shape.
